New Spring Semester for Equip University begins February 5.
Sunday Nights at 5:00 PM.
Curriculum Includes:
Foundations Class- Led by Pastor George Austin in room 208.
Way of the Master - Led by Matt McKaskle in room 201.
The Way of the Master Basic Training Course is specially formatted to train believers in a group setting to simply and confidently share the gospel with family, friends, and strangers.
These lessons will teach you to overcome your fears by using a proven, powerfully effective way to make the gospel make sense. You won't be at a loss for words. You don't need to be an expert in apologetics. Instead, you'll learn the forgotten biblical principle of bypassing the intellect (the place of argument) and speaking directly to the conscience (the place of the knowledge of right and wrong) - the way Jesus did.
James: Mercy Triumphs - A Beth Moore study led by Alisa Grubb in the cafeteria.
James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Saviour turned an unbeliever into a disciple with Beth Moore's study. And in the process, learn how you can put your own faith into action.
Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer.
Instructing a Child's Heart - Led by Pastor Brad Hanks in room 210.
From interaction with their peers to the instruction and correction they receive at home, children interpret their experience from a worldview that seeks to answer their fundamental questions: Who am I? What do I exist for? Where can I find joy? We need to provide our children with a consistent, persuasive, biblical framework for understanding the world God has made and their place in it. The instruction that you provide for them not only informs their mind; it is directed to persuading their hearts of the wisdom and truthfulness of God's ways. Impress truth on the hearts of your children, not to control or manage them, but to point them to the greatest joy and happiness that they can experience...delighteing in God and the goodness of His ways.
The Peacemaker - Led by Pastor Russ Weymouth in the Conference Room (for pastors and deacons).
The Peacemaker is a comprehensive and practical theology for conflict resolution designed to bring about not only a cease-fire but also unity and harmony within families, in the church, and out in the world.
Honor Begins at Home: The Courageous Bible Study - Led by Michael and Cathy Brashear in room 212.
This compelling Bible study is based on the movie Courageous, and is an 8-session study that will take individuals and small groups deeper into biblical truths for a godly family, exploring topics such as redeeming your history, walking with integrity, winning and blessing the hearts of your children, and more.
Every session involves watching a clip from the movie Courageous to help members engage in discussion. And daily readings from "The Resolution for Men" and "The Resolution for Women" will help you connect with God and His best plan for your family.
